LinkedIn Ads Grand Total Displayed Does Not Match the Sum of the Values in Some Charts
This article will assist with the following problem:
Grand Total lines in LinkedIn Ads reports do not match the sums of the values.
In LinkedIn Ads reports on Looker Studio, some totals displayed do not appear to be accurate. In the following example, the Grand Total line reads "588" under Clicks, but the values only add up to 230.
Cause
LinkedIn's API provides incomplete itemizations in order to protect its users' demographics. Therefore, the values displayed in the chart are estimates. The Grand Total is a separate field which is requested without the demographic dimensions and therefore is not subject to the same protections. The Grand Total is a precise and accurate value. It is not an estimate.
