Constant Contact Data Connector User Guide

The following article is a guide to automating reports with your Constant Contact connector. It includes information on available data as well as currently unavailable data and tips on how to get the most out of your Constant Contact reports. To begin creating reports with your Constant Contact connector, you will need at least one Constant Contact account as well as access to Looker Studio or Google Sheets.

Available Data

  1. Key Performance Indicators - Contact count scorecards and date graphs. Sends by open rate, unopened rate, click rate, and bounce rate. Opens by spam and unsubscribe rate. Clicks by campaign type.
  2. List Breakdowns - Number of contacts by lists. 
  3. Campaign Breakdowns - Sends, opens, open rate, clicks, click rate, bounces, and bounce rate by run date, names, and status.
  4. Complete List of Fields .

API Limitations

  1. Lifetime data  - Constant Contact does not offer historical data through their API. All fields are lifetime. 
  2. Custom fields  - Custom fields are not available.

Connection Requirements

A username and password for your Constant Contact account are required for a successful connection.



The First Time You Connect

Include today's date in your reporting range the first time you connect. Historical data will not be available.

The first time you connect with Google Sheets or Excel, Today is the only date selection that will produce data.

Backfilling

All of Constant Contact's fields are lifetime and cannot be backfilled. We will begin saving your data the first time you create a report.
