Connecting your CJ Affiliate (Commission Junction) account to Power My Analytics allows you to centralize your affiliate commission data for automated reporting and analysis. This guide will walk you through creating your CJ Personal Access Token, finding your Advertiser ID (CID), and connecting your CJ Affiliate account to PMA.

Requirements

Before you begin, ensure you have:

  • An active CJ Affiliate advertiser account
  • Access to the CJ Developer Portal to create Personal Access Tokens
  • The Advertiser ID (the Company ID, or CID) for each CJ company you want to report on

Step 1: Create Your Personal Access Token

Power My Analytics connects to CJ Affiliate using a Personal Access Token (a credential CJ provides for tools like PMA).

  1. Log in to the CJ Developer Portal at https://developers.cj.com.
  2. Open Authentication > Personal Access Tokens in the left sidebar.
  3. Register a new token.
  4. Copy the token before you leave the page, so it is ready to paste into Power My Analytics.

Step 2: Find Your Advertiser ID (CID)

  1. Go to https://members.cj.com and sign in.
  2. Click your company name in the upper right corner.
  3. Your Advertiser ID is shown under the CID column.
Notes
Use the CID of the advertiser account you want to report on. This may differ from the CID of the login you used to create the Personal Access Token.

Step 3: Connect CJ Affiliate to Power My Analytics

  1. Go to your Power My Analytics hub at https://hub.powermyanalytics.com and click on Sources in the left sidebar.
  2. Click the + Add new source button.
  3. Find and select CJ Affiliate from the data source gallery.
  4. Enter your Personal Access Token.
  5. Enter your Advertiser ID (the CID of your advertiser account).
  6. Give your account a nickname in the Name field.
  7. Click Connect to authenticate.
  8. You should see the "Source was successfully added" confirmation message.

Your CJ Affiliate account is now connected to Power My Analytics, and PMA will begin collecting your commission data automatically.

Notes
If you manage more than one CJ company, connect each company's CID as its own data source by repeating these steps.

Remove Your CJ Affiliate Data Source from PMA

If you would like to disconnect your CJ Affiliate account from Power My Analytics:

  1. Go to your Power My Analytics hub at https://hub.powermyanalytics.com and click on Sources in the left sidebar.
  2. Find your CJ Affiliate account in the list of connected sources. Click the three dots to open the Action menu.
  3. Click Remove source.
  4. Click Confirm to remove the CJ Affiliate data source from PMA.

You can also delete the Personal Access Token in the CJ Developer Portal to fully revoke PMA's access.
