LinkedIn Business Manager Data Connector User Guide

Adding LinkedIn Business Manager as a Data Source

  1. Log in to your Power My Analytics Hub
  2. Navigate to Sources in the main menu
  3. Click + New Data Source
  4. Select LinkedIn from the gallery of options
  5. Sign in to your LinkedIn account to authenticate

Creating a Looker Studio Report

  1. In your PMA Hub, go to Reports > Looker Studio
  2. Under Create Looker Studio Report, select LinkedIn Business Manager
  3. In the new browser tab:
    • Name your data source (e.g., "LinkedIn Business Manager - [Your Organization]")
    • Select your Power My Analytics Hub from the dropdown
    • Leave "Use report template for new reports" checked (recommended)
    • Click Next
  4. Choose your LinkedIn Business Manager account (or Sample Account for demo data)
  5. Select your preferred settings:
    • Ad Accounts
    • Attribution model
    • Lookback window
  6. Optionally, allow these settings to be modified in reports
  7. Click Connect to finalize the configuration
  8. Click Create Report to generate your Looker Studio report

Revenue Attribution Report

  • Top Line Metrics: Revenue Won, Return On Ad Spend, LinkedIn Ad Spend, Pipeline Amount
  • Performance Over Time: Revenue Won by Date
  • Funnel Metrics: Leads, Open Opportunities, Closed Won
  • Conversions: Lead Conversion Rate, Opportunity Win Rate, Average Deal Size, Average Days to Close

Limitations and Important Considerations

  • Backfilling: Backfilling is limited to 2 years
  • Data Noise: LinkedIn's API intentionally adds small amounts of "noise" to protect customer privacy. This effect increases over longer date ranges.
  • Unavailable Data: Pipeline Amount is not currently available through this connector
