Taboola Data Connector User Guide

The following article is a guide to automating reports with your Taboola connector. It includes information on available data as well as currently unavailable data and tips on how to get the most out of your Taboola reports. To begin creating reports with your Taboola connector, you will need at least one Taboola account as well as access to Looker Studio or Google Sheets.

Available Data

  1. Campaigns - Impressions and clicks by date. Spent, actual CPC, impressions, clicks, STR, click conv., conversion rate, conversions value - all, conversions and CPA by campaign.
  2. Geo Reporting - Spent, impressions, clicks, CTR, conversions and CPA by country.
  3. Sites Performance - Spent, actual CPC, impressions, clicks, CTR, click conversions and CPA by site name.
  4. Platforms - Spent, actual CPC, impressions, clicks, CTR, click conversions, click conversion rate and CPA by platform.
  5. Campaign Top Content - Impressions, vCTR, clicks, CPC, vCPM, conv. rate, conv., CPA and spent by ID, image, top item, URL and campaign name.
  6. Complete List of Fields.

API Limitations

  1. Reporting by country and date - Taboola's API does not allow using both country and date as dimensions at the same time.
  2. Custom fields - Custom fields are not available.

Connection Requirements

When connecting your Taboola account, you will need to use your Taboola account ID and password. To find your account ID, go to Taboola Backstage and find the number at the end of the page URL, for example, https://backstage.taboola.com/backstage/123456.

Enter your Taboola account ID in Client ID and enter your password in Client Secret



Backfilling

Power My Analytics will initially backfill 13 months of data when you first create a report. Run a manual backfill from your Hub to get up to 2 years of data.
