Where Is My Data Warehoused?

InfoPower My Analytics warehouses your data in Google Cloud. During onboarding, you can choose whether your data is stored in a US or EU data center. This article explains where each option stores your data and how to choose the right region for your needs.

Google Cloud Data Center Options

When you sign up for Power My Analytics, you'll be prompted during onboarding to select the Google Cloud region where your data will be warehoused. The two available options are:

OptionRegionLocation
US Data Center (Default)US-Central1Council Bluffs, Iowa, USA
EU Data CenterEurope-West3Frankfurt, Germany

The US location is a low-carbon facility. Your data is managed by Google according to their security standards, with encryption at rest and in transit regardless of which region you select. For more information on how PMA keeps your data secure, see How Does PMA Secure My Data?

Choosing Your Data Warehouse Region

Your data warehouse region is selected during the Warehouse step of the PMA onboarding process. Consider the following when making your selection:

  • US Data Center (US-Central1, Council Bluffs, Iowa): The default option, suitable for most users. Recommended if you and your clients are primarily based in the United States or have no specific data residency requirements.

  • EU Data Center (Europe-West3, Frankfurt, Germany): Recommended for users who require their data to be stored within the European Union — for example, to support GDPR compliance. Selecting this option ensures that your warehoused marketing data remains within EU borders.

Alert
Your data warehouse region can only be selected during onboarding. This setting cannot be changed from within your hub's Warehouse Settings after your hub is created. If you need to switch between the US and EU data centers after onboarding, please contact our support team to request this change.

Need to Own Your Own Data?

If you require full ownership and control of your data — for example, to store it in your own database or on infrastructure of your choosing — Power My Analytics offers a Sovereign SQL Warehouse solution on the Custom plan. This is a separate option from the Google Cloud data center regions described above.

For more information, see Power My Analytics' Sovereign SQL Warehouse Solution, or contact our team to discuss the Custom plan.
