How to Connect to Awin

How to Connect to Awin

Info
Connecting your Awin account to Power My Analytics allows you to centralize your affiliate transaction, publisher, and creative data for automated reporting and analysis. This guide will walk you through creating your Awin OAuth2 API token and connecting your Awin account to PMA.

Requirements

Before you begin, ensure you have:

  • An active Awin account (Publisher or Advertiser)
  • A user role with permission to generate API tokens in Awin
Notes
Awin offers both Publisher and Advertiser accounts, and the available reports differ between them. Connect the account type that matches your role.

Step 1: Create Your Awin API Token

Power My Analytics connects to Awin using an OAuth2 API access token (a credential Awin provides for tools like PMA).

  1. Log in to your Awin account.
  2. Open your profile and go to Account.
  3. Select the API credentials tab.
  4. Create a new token.
  5. Copy the token before you leave the page, since it is shown only once.

If you do not see the API credentials option, you can also contact your Awin account manager to obtain your OAuth2 token.

Step 2: Connect Awin to Power My Analytics

  1. Go to your Power My Analytics hub at https://hub.powermyanalytics.com and click on Sources in the left sidebar.
  2. Click the + Add new source button.
  3. Find and select Awin from the data source gallery.
  4. Enter your API Token.
  5. Give your account a nickname in the Account Name field.
  6. Click Connect to authenticate.

Your Awin account is now connected to Power My Analytics, and the Awin accounts available to your token will be ready to select when you create your reports.

Notes
Your API token is shown only once when you create it in Awin. If you lose it, create a new token in the API credentials tab and reconnect your source.

Remove Your Awin Data Source from PMA

If you would like to disconnect your Awin account from Power My Analytics:

  1. Go to your Power My Analytics hub at https://hub.powermyanalytics.com and click on Sources in the left sidebar.
  2. Find your Awin account in the list of connected sources. Click the three dots to open the Action menu.
  3. Click Remove source.
  4. Click Confirm to remove the Awin data source from PMA.

You can also delete the API token in your Awin account's API credentials tab to fully revoke PMA's access.
