Connecting your Semrush account to Power My Analytics allows you to centralize your SEO and search visibility data for more efficient reporting and analysis. This guide will walk you through finding your Semrush API key and connecting your Semrush account to PMA.

Requirements

Before you begin, ensure you have:
  • A Semrush account with a paid subscription that includes an API Units allotment
  • Access to view the API key on your Semrush account's Subscription Info page
Notes
Semrush API access is tied to your subscription plan, and there is no free API tier. Each request consumes API units from your Semrush account.

Step 1: Get Your Semrush API Key

The Semrush connector authenticates with an API key.
  1. Log in to your Semrush account.
  2. Open the API Units page (Subscription Info > API Units) to find your API key.
  3. Copy the API key so it is ready to paste into Power My Analytics.

Step 2: Connect Semrush to Power My Analytics

  1. Go to your Power My Analytics hub at https://hub.powermyanalytics.com and click on Sources in the left sidebar.
  2. Click the + Add new source button.
  3. Find and select Semrush Analytics from the data source gallery.
  4. Enter the API Key you copied from Semrush.
  5. Optional: Enter a Name to give this account a nickname.
  6. Click Connect to authenticate.
  7. You should see the "Source was successfully added" confirmation message.
Your Semrush account is now connected to Power My Analytics, and PMA will begin collecting your historical data automatically.

Remove Your Semrush Data Source from PMA

If you would like to disconnect your Semrush account from Power My Analytics:
  1. Go to your Power My Analytics hub at https://hub.powermyanalytics.com and click on Sources in the left sidebar.
  2. Find your Semrush account in the list of connected sources. Click the three dots to open the Action menu.
  3. Click Remove source.
  4. Click Confirm to remove the Semrush data source from PMA.
