LinkedIn Companies January 15, 2025 Deprecated Fields
LinkedIn is deprecating several LinkedIn Companies fields in their API on January 15, 2025. This change will affect reports using these fields and requires action from users of the LinkedIn Companies data connector who currently utilize these fields in their reports.

Impact on Your Reports
After January 15, 2025, any reports using these deprecated fields will need to be updated.
Looker Studio Reports
- Reports using deprecated fields will fail to load until the data source is reconnected. Upon reconnection, deprecated fields will be removed automatically.
- Charts using these fields will break and need to be modified to remove the fields.
Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel Reports
- Reports will produce errors until the deprecated fields are removed. You'll need to manually remove these fields from your reports.
Data Explorer Reports and Data Exports
- Reports will produce errors until the deprecated fields are removed. You'll need to update your report configuration to remove these fields.
Impact on Warehoused Data
All warehoused data for these deprecated fields will become unavailable after January 15, 2025.
Workarounds for Deprecated Fields
- LinkedIn has not made any substitute fields available to replace the deprecated fields.
- If you need to save any historical data from these fields, you must export it before January 15, 2025. This can be done using our Enterprise plan or the Exports Add-on.
Recommended Actions
Before January 15, 2025:
- Review your reports to identify any usage of deprecated fields.
- Export historical data if needed.
- Begin planning alternative reporting approaches.
- Update any automated or scheduled reports.
After January 15, 2025:
- Reconnect your LinkedIn Companies data source in your reports.
- Remove deprecated fields from your reports.
