PMA's got you covered with our powerful custom conversion metrics for Facebook Ads. In this article, we'll show you how to include custom conversion data in your reports, look up custom conversions by name, and filter your conversions by campaign.

Report Custom Conversions in Looker Studio

Our pre-made Looker Studio report template for Facebook Ads now includes custom conversions data. To use our Facebook Ads template:
  1. Follow the steps in Facebook Ads Data Connector User Guide > Creating a Looker Studio Report to create your Facebook Ads report in the Looker Studio application. Make sure to leave "Use report template for new reports" checked when creating the report.

  2. Navigate to the page Custom Conversions in the report. The names and values of each custom conversion will be listed in the table.

What Data is Reported by Custom Conversions?

Our connector reports Facebook Ads custom conversions using the metric Custom Conversion Count [collection] paired with the dimension Custom Conversion Name [collection]
Notes
To report custom conversions, these fields must always be paired with each other, and cannot be used with any other or additional fields.
By default, our custom conversions template report will show:
  1. All custom conversions.
  2. Their total values across the selected date range, for all campaigns, ads, or ad sets.

Filter Custom Conversions by Campaign

To report your custom conversions by campaign, add a dropdown control to your Looker Studio report:
  1. Click the Add a control menu and select Drop-down list. Place the control in your report.

  2. In the Control sidebar, set the control field to Campaign Name.

  3. Use the dropdown to select the campaigns you want to report.

Look Up Custom Conversions by Name

To display only custom conversions with a name containing a certain value (e.g. "purchase"), apply a filter to the custom conversions chart in your Looker Studio report:
  1. Select the custom conversions chart in your report. In the Chart sidebar, scroll down to Filter and click Add a filter.

  2. Then click Create a filter.

  3. Under Name, enter a name for your filter such as "Custom Conversion filter".

  4. Next to Include, select the field Custom Conversion Name [collection].

  5. Select the condition Contains.

  6. Enter a value for the search term you want to use, such as "purchase". Then click Save.

  7. The filter will be applied to your chart, and the matching custom conversions will be displayed.
