Missing Conversion and Visit Data Beyond 60 Days in Google Search Ads 360
Your Google Search Ads 360 reports show conversion and visit metrics for recent dates, but the same metrics appear blank or incomplete for older dates. This article explains the Search Ads 360 API's 60-day limit on conversion and visit data and how Power My Analytics preserves your history beyond it. For an overview of the connector, see the
Google Search Ads 360 Data Connector User Guide.
Issue
Conversion and visit metrics (Conversions, All Conversions, Conversions Value, All Conversions Value, and Visits) are blank or incomplete for dates older than the most recent 60 days, while performance metrics such as Impressions, Clicks, and Cost display normally for the same dates.
Cause
The Search Ads 360 API only makes conversion and visit data available for the most recent 60 days. This is a hard limit of the Search Ads 360 API itself: it applies to any reporting tool built on the API and is not a Power My Analytics connector issue. General performance data is not affected; Search Ads 360 retains it for at least 24 months, with reporting available back to January 1, 2019.
Solution
Conversion and visit data older than 60 days cannot be retrieved from the Search Ads 360 API, so backfills of these metrics cannot reach back further than 60 days. However, Power My Analytics warehouses the data it collects, and that works in your favor:
- Conversion and visit data that Power My Analytics has already collected stays cached in your data warehouse, so it remains available to your reports even after it falls outside the Search Ads 360 API's 60-day window.
- Keep your Google Search Ads 360 data source connected and syncing. Each daily Data Sync adds to your warehoused history, so the earlier you connect (and the longer you stay connected), the more conversion and visit history your reports can show.
- If conversion or visit data is missing within the most recent 60 days, that is not expected behavior; check your source's sync status under Sources in your hub, and submit a ticket if the gap persists.
Also note the Conversions vs. All Conversions distinction: Conversions counts only the conversion actions marked Primary in Search Ads 360, while All Conversions also includes actions marked Secondary, plus cross-device conversions, Google Ads store visits, and certain phone calls. If your conversion counts look different than expected, check which of these fields your report uses.
