RTB House Data Connector User Guide

RTB House Data Connector User Guide

Info
RTB House is a global advertising platform that uses deep learning to power retargeting and programmatic display campaigns. With the Power My Analytics RTB House connector, you can connect your RTB House account to your Hub and choose the RTB House advertisers you want to report on. This guide covers what you need before you connect and how to add RTB House as a data source. We will add the steps for building your first report and the list of available fields as they are released.
Notes
RTB House is an Alpha connector. It is newly released and available for early access, so fields, configuration options, and behavior may change as we build it out. We will expand this guide as the connector develops, and your feedback helps shape what comes next.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure you have:
  • An active RTB House account with access to the advertisers you want to report on
  • API access enabled for your RTB House user. Your RTB House account representative can turn this on for you.
  • Two-factor authentication turned off for the RTB House user you connect with. The RTB House API does not support two-factor authentication.
  • Your RTB House username and password (the login you use for the RTB House panel). RTB House connects with your login, so there is no API key to copy. Power My Analytics stores your password encrypted.

Adding RTB House as a Data Source

  1. In your Power My Analytics Hub, select Sources from the menu.
  2. Click + Add new source and choose RTB House from the gallery.
  3. Enter your RTB House username and password, and an optional account name to help you identify the account, then click Connect.
RTB House checks your login when you click Connect. Once you're connected, the RTB House advertisers your login can access are available to choose from. Archived advertisers are included and labeled "(archived)", so you can still select a past client.

Limitations and Important Considerations

  • Alpha connector: While RTB House is in Alpha, fields, configuration options, and behavior may change. If a field is renamed or removed, you may need to update the reports that use it.
  • Reporting data: RTB House reports and fields are not available yet. You can connect your RTB House account now; we will add the available fields and the steps for building a Data Studio report to this guide as they are released.
  • Two-factor authentication: The RTB House user you connect with needs two-factor authentication turned off, because the RTB House API does not support it.
  • Password changes: Your RTB House data source connects with your RTB House username and password. If you change that password, or API access is turned off for your RTB House user, reconnect your RTB House data source (see Disconnect and Reconnect a Source from Your Hub).

Unavailable Data

If there is an RTB House field or report you would like to see, please submit a ticket with a description or screenshot of what you need. Requests during Alpha help us decide what to add next.

Troubleshooting

If your RTB House data source does not connect or behave the way you expect, start with Basic Troubleshooting. A few RTB House-specific issues are worth checking first:
  • "RTB House rejected your login": The username or password is incorrect, or two-factor authentication is turned on for this RTB House user. Check your login, make sure two-factor authentication is off for the user, then connect again.
  • An access error asking you to check that API access is enabled: API access is not enabled for your RTB House user. Ask your RTB House account representative to enable API access, then connect again.
  • RTB House does not appear in the source gallery: During Alpha, RTB House is available only to accounts with early access. To ask about early access, submit a ticket.
  • Your RTB House data source stops working after a password change: Reconnect your RTB House data source with the new password.
