Amazon Vendor Central Data Connector User Guide
Amazon Vendor Central is Amazon's portal for vendors who sell their products wholesale directly to Amazon. This guide will help you connect your Amazon Vendor Central account to Power My Analytics, enabling you to automate the collection of your vendor sales, inventory, traffic, and forecasting data and create insightful reports.
Prerequisites
Before connecting Amazon Vendor Central to Power My Analytics:
- You must have an active Amazon Vendor Central account
- You must be able to sign in with the Amazon credentials that have access to your Vendor Central account (Power My Analytics authenticates via single sign-on with Amazon)
The Amazon Vendor Central connector reports first-party (1P) vendor data only. If you sell on Amazon as a third-party (3P) seller, use the
Amazon Seller Central connector instead.
Adding Amazon Vendor Central as a Data Source
- Log in to your Power My Analytics Hub
- Navigate to Sources in the main menu
- Click + Add New Source
- Select Amazon Vendor Central from the gallery
- Assign a memorable name to the account
- Click Connect to authenticate via Amazon single sign-on
- Approve the required permissions in the consent pop-up

Creating a Data Studio Report
Follow these steps to create a Data Studio report using your Amazon Vendor Central data:
- After adding Amazon Vendor Central as a data source, go to Reports > Data Studio
- Select Amazon Vendor Central under Create Data Studio Report (this will open the official Data Studio application in a new window)
Google Data Studio Configuration:
- Step 1: Name your data source (e.g., "Amazon Vendor Central - [Organization Name]"), choose your Power My Analytics hub from the dropdown, optionally leave "Use report template for new reports" checked for the PMA demo template, and click Next
- Step 2: Under User Account, select your Amazon Vendor Central account (for real data) or "Sample Account" (for sample data), then click Connect (top right) to complete the configuration
- Step 3: Click Create Report (top right)

- Forecasting Report Metrics: Mean Forecast Units, P70forecast Units, P80forecast Units, P90forecast Units

Limitations and Important Considerations
- Backfilling: Up to 2 years of historical data is available. Power My Analytics backfills the full 2 years when you first connect your Amazon Vendor Central account as a data source.
