Understanding Data Source Statuses

Understanding Data Source Statuses

Info
The status of a data source, shown in the Sources section of your Power My Analytics hub, indicates whether data from the connection is being successfully retrieved by PMA. A single data source can display one or more status pills based on the current sync state of its connected accounts, alerting you to any issues that may need your attention.

Data Source Statuses

Each of your connected data sources in your PMA hub shows one or more status pills indicating its current data retrieval state. When the accounts under a single data source are in different states, the data source displays multiple status pills side by side, each with a count of the affected accounts. Hover on any pill to see a tooltip with the count and status name.

Status
Description
Notes
Synced
All data sync jobs for the source's accounts have succeeded in the past 24 hours.
No action is required. SQL and Google Sheets data sources display as Synced as long as the connection remains valid.
Syncing
A backfill is in progress, or the account was added in the last 24 hours and hasn't completed its initial backfill.
No action is required. Syncing displays during initial connection or a manually triggered backfill, not during the routine nightly data sync.
Reconnect
PMA cannot access the data source, preventing data retrieval.
This can be due to a revoked or expired authorization token, or invalid credentials (such as a password change). PMA also sends you an email and an in-app notification when a data source needs reconnection. Click the Reconnect button next to the data source, or follow the instructions to Disconnect and Reconnect a Source from Your Hub.
Lost Access
PMA's authorization is valid, but you have lost access to a specific account on the originating platform.
This can happen if you were removed from a Google Ads client, lost admin permission on a Facebook page, or otherwise had your access to the account revoked on the source platform. Restore your access on the source platform, then reconnect the data source in your hub.
Missing Permissions
The authorization token is valid, but PMA is missing one or more permissions required to access the data.
Currently applies to Google data sources. Disconnect and reconnect the data source, ensuring all requested permissions are granted during sign-in.
Resolving
At least one data sync job for the data source has failed within the past 24 hours, and PMA is automatically retrying data retrieval. Partial data may still be available.
No action is required. Power My Analytics will automatically retry the data sync jobs for the data source.
Discontinued
This data connector is deprecated. Data syncing for these data sources is no longer supported.
No action is required. Your historical data cached in PMA's warehouse is still available, but no new data will be synced.
Not Syncing
The authorization for the data source connection is valid, but no data sync jobs have been performed in the past 24 hours.
If your subscription has been cancelled or your account is in a dunning state, data syncing is paused and the source displays as Not Syncing. Otherwise, this status indicates a connector problem; please submit a support ticket for assistance.
No Accounts
Your authorization for the data source is valid, but no accounts under the data source are currently active.
Verify that the originating platform has at least one accessible account, and that an account is enabled for syncing under the data source in the Manage Accounts panel.

Account-Level Statuses

The Manage Accounts panel for each data source displays the same set of statuses at the individual account level. To open the Manage Accounts panel, click the data source's link under Synced Accounts in the main Sources table, or open the data source's three-dot Action menu and select Manage accounts.

Notes
When an individual account has the Lost Access status, the Data Range column in the Manage Accounts table displays "No date range" until access to the account is restored on the source platform.
