How to Connect to LinkedIn Companies
Looking to bring your LinkedIn company page data into a single, automated reporting workflow? This guide will walk you through connecting LinkedIn Companies as a data source in Power My Analytics, so you can centralize your organic LinkedIn page metrics, create comprehensive reports, and make data-driven decisions about your audience and content performance.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, make sure you have:
- A LinkedIn account with Super Admin access on the LinkedIn company page you want to connect
If you do not yet have Super Admin access, follow Step 1 below to grant it before continuing.
Step 1: Grant Super Admin Access on Your LinkedIn Page
To grant Super Admin access on a LinkedIn company page:
- Go to your LinkedIn page and click Admin tools.
- Under Settings, click Manage admins.
- Open Page admins (or Paid media admins if applicable) and click Add admin.
- Find the user you want to add, select the Super admin role, and click Save changes.
Power My Analytics' connector will never edit, create, or delete anything in your LinkedIn company page. Super Admin access is required because LinkedIn's API limits company-page analytics access to Super Admins.
Step 2: Add LinkedIn Companies as a Data Source in Power My Analytics
- Log in to your Power My Analytics hub at https://hub.powermyanalytics.com.
- Navigate to Sources from the main menu.
- Click + Add new source.
- Select LinkedIn Companies from the list of available sources.
- Sign in to your LinkedIn account using credentials with Super Admin access from Step 1.
- Authorize the requested permission scopes to complete the connection.
Once connected, LinkedIn Companies will appear in your list of active data sources. Your LinkedIn company page data will automatically begin syncing to your Power My Analytics data warehouse, and you can then use it in Looker Studio reports, Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, or export it to your preferred data destination.
Data delay: LinkedIn Companies data is always delayed by 2 days. Reports including today or yesterday in the date range may include figures that are not finalized.
Brand page data is lifetime only: Brand page metrics are reported as lifetime data only — historical day-by-day breakdowns are not available for these fields.
